Media server (dvd ripped to HD)

Postby dinger1 on Thu Feb 10, 2005 10:49 am

Ok, I have funnelled my way through most of the threads here but I can't seem to locate the exact answer I'm looking for. What I'm trying to do is find a way to watch my dvd movies which I have ripped to the HD from my collection. Is there a simple way to just have all the movies in one giant folder by movie title and all I have to do is just double click it to watch it?

I'd like to stay away from having to put every movie on a virtual drive just to watch the thing. Is there something I am missing here on how to do this? I of course do get the movie ripped to the HD in the usual Audio/video ts folder, but I'm looking for a simple way to just watch the movie off the "media server". I'm not really looking to write them over to dvd as I'm just wanting to make a "movie server"

TIA
