Greetins' tuh ahl.
Got a li'l problem. Almost two years ago, mainly because of a review on this site ( http://www.cdrlabs.com/reviews/index.php?reviewid=194 ), I bought a Lite-on LTR-52327S. Unfortunately, I moved a few months ago and, as will happen during moves, the disk with Nero Express got lost, probably thrown away because it got accidentally mixed in with some nameless pile of junk. (I HATE moving.)
This was no big deal for a while, but now I've had a new system built, into which I of course transferred my now-beloved Lite-on, and I need to re-install Nero Express. (I don't need the full version of Nero. The light version was fulfilling all my needs just fine.)
I emailed Lite-on about this and got back an email from someone who doesn't speak English very well. I had clearly explained that my installation disk was lost and I needed to get Nero Express again, and could I download it from somwhere; the linguistically challenged "tech support" person who replied told me to "get it from the disc that bundled with this drive," then proceeded to say, "we could do not offer additional burning software because of license issue. Please buy the original version or download from their vendor's web site." (Too many instances of "sic" to actually put in the quotation.)
So there's no help from Lite-on. Does anyone else know where to get a copy of Nero Express?
Alternatively, is there a reliable freeware burning app available? I've tried a couple and wasn't impressed. (I use EAC to rip, so ripping software isn't necessary--just burning. )
Thanks,
Mike
