Technically, PLDS has been in the SSD market for a couple of years, but the E200 is the first Lite-On branded SSD they've offered to the retail market.

Like the drives they manufacture for Plextor and Corsair, the E200 uses a Marvell processor and Toggle Mode NAND. Going by the specs, the E200 is probably based on the same design as Plextor's M3S series. The capacities (80GB and 160GB) are different though.. probably to keep the Lite-On branded drives from competing directly with the Plextor and Corsair drives.
I don't know if anyone remembers when Lite-On entered the optical market, but they really drove prices down.. A LOT. It will be interesting to see if they can do the same with SSDs.
