INstallation instructions for Nero 6, etc.

When I purchased Nero 5.5 last month, the installation CD-ROM had menus guiding me on what to install.

With the free upgrade to Nero 6, there at least 4 large fioles that need to be separaterly downloaded.

Does e ach of the 4 files have its own installation routine to install each/all of the components within the file?

Installation instructions for each of the packages should be posted at th eAhead web site. Do such instructoins exist?

each of those 4 files: nero6009.exe, nve20022.exe, InCD40121.exe and NeroMediaPlayer1404.exe is an executable file.

after you download them, double-click them to start the installer.
do this for each of the 4 files, starting with the nero6009.exe file.

Do I need to first uninstall earlier versions of Nero Burning ROM, InCD, InCD Easy Write, NeroMedia Player and Nero Vision Express?

Ahead needs to put an "Installiion Cheat Sheet" at their web site describing the upgrade process.

I did notice another posting indicating difficulties that required using Nero Clean Tool.

I have not found any pointers to Clean Tool, or other such tools, at the nero web site.

I don't know if you strictly need to, but I personally would uninstall the older versions of Ahead software before installing Nero 6 and related programs.

I found Clean Tool at

But I was not able to ftp to the parent directory to see what else was there.

Ahead needs to reorganize its ftp sites so that we need to go to only one place to find anything. They seem to have their files spread over several ftp servers, including ftp6 and ftp9. There needs to be a central index.

There's 5 programs listed in Add/Remove Programs:

Ahead InCD
Ahead Nero Media Player
Ahead Nero Express
InCD Easy Write Reader
Nero Burning ROM

I guess that I'll remove them all one by one.
