How to scan C1/C2 error for NuTech Writer ?

Postby Miho Ariga on Tue Jan 06, 2004 8:17 am

Hi folks,

I used my NU DDW061 (upgraded to DDW081 by firmware) to burn Mitsubishi 4X DVD+R at 8X speed. Burn completed but half of the data are unreadable. Imation 4X is better but I want to have a way to find the most appropriate media. Heard that C1/C2 error is a good indicator but just don't know what program can get the statistics. Seems KProbe works only on Liteon :(

BTW, anyone tried any 4X media can burn at 8X speed with good quality using NU DDW061 ?

C1/C2 is for CD-R/RW,PI/PO is for DVDR/RW.Try one of these apps(KProbe is the only free one): www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Software/All.a ... %20Quality

But the problem is that I am not using Liteon device and Kprobe refuses to work. I am using NEC DVD ROM and NuTech DVD+R Writer. Is there any problem to retrieve PI/PO statistics or similar way to check the burned DVD+R quality. Thanks.

Nope. Not with the drives you have.
