How are Sony CDR Media (48X)

I have Sony 48X CDR Media (Spindle 50), its has a yellow label. Have any of you used this media, and how well do they work? Are they compatible and have good reliability?

My 48x Liteon(originally a Sony) doesn't like them unless I reduce burn speed to 24x.Any more and I get errors.Meanwhile I can burn TDK,Philips,Maxell,Memorex 48x at 48 with no problem.Supposedly Sony makes their own CDRs.
