Help with ASPI and Plextor 504A DVD+RW

I installed a Plextor 504A DVD+RW drive a week or so ago and I've had no problems burning DVD+Rs and +RWs in Roxio. Just today though, I went to back up some CDR stuff that I had in .bin and .cue format - loaded Golden Hawk's CDR-WIN and CDR-WIN could not find any supported devices. I then installed two seperate versions of Adaptec's ASPI and after two reboots I received the same message. I even went out and grabbed Nero but it does not detect the drive as a supported device either. The ONLY program that supports .bin and .cue that detects the drive properly is Alcohol 120% and Alcohol is not my preferred program when it comes to burning standard .bin / .cue images.

What am I supposed to do to get the CDR burning side of things working with Nero and CDR-WIN on this drive? This is driving me absolutely nuts, please help .

are you sure you have the latest versions of CDR-WIN and Nero (5.5)?

CDR-Win latest version supports the Plex 504A DVD burner. so does Nero.
