HELP Sony DU10A @ 500A 2.0f NOT BURNING !!

I just received my Sony DU-10A today.
First thing i did was upgraded it to a 500A then put the newest firmware 2.0f.
Then I had gotten Princo DVD-R 4X media.
I installed the NTI CD&DVD maker and did simulation 2X and burn at 2X. Simuation works fine then at burn it goes buffer under run...
I installed NERO 6.0 and it gives me a different error

First goes
Burn Process started at 2x(2.760 KB/s)
Sony DVD RW DRU-500A
Power calibaration error
Burn process failed at 2x (2,760 KB/s)

Same thing happens with 4X as well.

The settings I use to write my DATA DVD is
No Multisession Disc
Disc at once with Finalize Disc in Nero. tried with simuation and with out.
and 1 2 and 4x tried all same thing.

Ever tried a different blank. same thing

What is going on ?
Help Help. Is this Burner Dead ?
Can i put the firmware back to it's origional DRU-10A ??

UPDATE: SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET
my brain kicked in and figured out how to fix it.

I knew this thing ain't a DRU-500A but i put different firmware to make it.

So i decided to see what i did.

I changed from DU-10A 1.1d to 500A 1.0g
then to 2.0f.
I tried to go back to DU-10A 1.1e which was on the firmware site but it wouldn't let me. So I tried the hacked updater to put 1.0g and i did. VOILA BABY WORKED LIKE A CHARM


So i figure
if you have 1.XX you can only upgrade to anouther 1.XX firmware and not 2.XX type. I guess the first number is a complete different hardware.
