Postby rico0307 on Tue Mar 04, 2003 12:32 am

is anyone can help me plizzzzz

i'm using nero 5.5.9.0, and using BENQ 32x10x40 CDR. im running on WINXP with P4 1,8, 256DDRAM, even i upgrade it my nero to the newest 5.5.10.15 the problem still not solved. I lost more than 20cd for trying to solving this problem

My problem are, i cannot burn DATA CD, but i can burn AUDIO CD, theres no problem for AudioCd.
I dont know why, when i burning data cd, and the burn status is 100% complete, and the messege appear "Could not perform Fixation", and its fail. The CDs is burn, but cannot read the data.
Even i try it usinG CDRW, the problem still same. and also the CDRW cannot readed or erased by now.

and i try to burn DATACD using winXP built-in burner.. and its oke, no problem.. but i dont like it. less information and option using WinXP burner software..

Is any one know my problem are??
I really appreciate it.

Thanx :D

the built in burning capability of WinXP can interfere with Nero.
try to disable it.

Start -> Run -> type gpedit.msc -> OK
then:
User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Explorer -> Remove CD Burning Features
and choose Enabled.

Is it only the Finalize portion that you run into problems with?

Did you try our latest Nero 5.5.10.15a? As it did resolve some issues we had with Nero 5.5.10.15.

Try this: Take one of the CD's you created with Nero that ended with this error, and place in your Recorder. Then launch Nero and close the Nero Wizard and/or the New Compilation Window.

Now go to Recorder->Medium Info. Select the last session or only session contained on the CD, and then click on the 'Close Session' button that should show up in the bottom left corner of the window. If you do not wish to write to this CD anymore, select the 'Close CD' button.

Are you able to recover the CD fully this way? Is it fully functional?

IF this works, did or do you have any other CD Recording software installed on your system?

Craig
