Have any of you ever purchased from tigerdirect.com?

Just wondering what the shipping policy is, and also if you were pleased with the package you recieved. I'm thinking of ordering a case from them.

I got an aluminum Chieftec Matrix case from the a week or two ago. It shipped UPS ground and showed up in 2 days. The case was packaged well. No complaints.

The case also came with a free 400w crapola power supply. THis wasn't packaged very well. Essentially they tossed it in a box with one of those air bags. It works ok though.

I ordered from them before, and everything went smoothly. One warning: they will send you catalogs in the mail after you buy from them. So, be prepared for junk mail...unless you like catalogs.

Over the years, I've purchased quite a few times from TigerDirect and haven't had one complaint about any of the orders.

I purchsed from them (Oct 31, 2002) with the PayPal function. Immediately after the payment was made, the item bacame backordered. Finally I called to cancel the order after waiting for about a month. The rep said they'd either issue a credit back to PayPal or send a check. None happened for about another month and a half.

I e-mailed them with the request to speed up the credit and called the same day to get a reassurance from another rep. Sure enough, in a few days (Jan 15, 2003) my PayPal was credited in full.

In this particular instance, the total turnaround took 2.5 months, of which 1.5 months were the refund procedure. I have ordered from TigerDirect.com before with no problem, but after this instance I will think twice.

My dad's company uses Tigerdirect often. Supposedly they get good deals on printers... He always recommends them to me... I find that their prices are not usually the cheapest so I usually go with newegg.
