By mail is a crap shoot! Usually the +R are made in Japan. -R you will need to go to the store and check. Ian found some two weeks ago that were MIJ -R.

As ETP said, you have to check and see. The 50-pack and 100-pack -R and the 100-pack +R spindles were the made-in-Taiwan variety when I checked at my local Best Buy the other week. However, the 50-pack +R were made in Japan. Its kind of like a box of Cracker Jack: you never know what the prize inside will be.

Geez, this is like the 6th week in a row they've been "on sale." The permanent price seems to be 40 cents a disc now.

I did check these Fuji at Best Buy store today both +R & -R are made in Japan.

My local BB only has the DVD+R made in Japan. Seems like all of the DVD-R, where made in Taiwan, but I have seen made in Japan Fuji DVD-R before.

Kind of a related deal, I was at BB yesterday and they had the Fuji 6-pack 8x DVD+Rs (in Amaray cases) on clearance for $2.99 each. They were all Made in Japan, and had a Taiyo Yuden MID. DVD-Rs were NOT on clearance.

Not a HOT price, but $.50/disc for both TY and a DVD case isn't a bad deal... I bought all 3 they still had, may hit up another BB on my way home to see if they have anything.
