To flash or not to flash?

Hi everyone!

:D I'm a newbie to this forum and must say that it is very informative. Anyways I just returned a LDW-411s for a Pioneer DVR-106 because of the problems others were having with it. I haven't tried burning with it yet, but I was wondering if I should flash it to 1.07? Any thoughts from the veterans? TIA!

I upgraded my Pioneer A06 drive to firmware version 1.07 shortly after buying the drive. I figured it would be best to upgrade to the latest version.

I downloaded the firmware upgrade directly from the Pioneer web-site.

I've had no problems with version 1.07 so far.
