8x DVD+R Media at YesBuy

Postby aviationwiz on Wed Dec 31, 2003 8:27 pm

I was just looking at YesBuy and I saw they have some new 8x DVD+R media. Here's the URL:
http://www.yesbuy.net/dvdr.html

Anyone going to try it out?

I won't buy from a company that doesn't even say what kind of discs they are. They're probably Ritek's, but I for one won't chance it.

I'll stick to Meritline.

But thanks for the heads up :)

If they do turn out to be Riteks, then I'll might pick some up; that's a pretty good deal on the discs! Assuming they're actually the 8x discs, not 4x discs.

I don't want to buy from anywhere that won't tell me the Disc ID code of their DVD media!

I've bought from them before and everything has worked fine. I absolutely loved those 2.4x Labeled Ritek DVD+R that I got from them, I picked up 20 in all, loved em' all, burned perfectly in my Ricoh MP-5125.

I wouldn't buy any 8x DVD+R discs quite yet. Most likely these are Ritek discs and the ones Ritek USA are shipping as 8x capable are nothing more than Ricoh R02's.
