Differences between Plextor Premium internal vs. external?

Postby articulate on Thu Aug 12, 2004 5:26 am

I'm considering buying a Premium and putting it in my own external USB 2.0 box. Are there any differences between the internal IDE drive and the Premium-U external drive? Is there any reason there should be problems using the internal drive as an external USB 2.0 device?

Nope, same actual drive. I have mine in an enclosure.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer, aviationwiz!
BTW, are you happy w/ the drive's performance - - generally, and in conjunction w/ the USB 2.0 enclosure?

Questions, questions . . .

Is there any difference between the Premium and the Premium T3(A, B, or C) model?

I can't find anything about T3 or possible model differences on the Plextor website . . .

Thanks, guys . . .

I guess the T3 is a European model number.

And, aviationwiz, it was a dumb question of me to ask, whether you like your Plex or not . . .
