Cannot Copy Audio Cd

When I open Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7 to copy a Audio CD I get a pop up menu that says: "Please Insert a Disk the Hl-DT-ST-DVDRW 9 (D:) drive."

I do have a CD in that drive but the application is not recognizing that and pops the CD out if I select OK. I do believe I have used this feature before with no problem.

I am using a HP Pavilion dv8110 notebook and do not seem to be able to find the Application on my accompanying CD's that came with the computer. Is there a way I can get an online facility to correct the problem I am having or some way correcting the problem with the application?

I believe I have a problem with my CD/DVD drive. HP will install a new drive. Will see if that resolves the problem.

Quite a lot of audio CDs have some sort of copy potection nowadays...
