Futureshop has the Verbatim dual layer DVD+R's onsale again this week.

I just bought 2 packs on the recommendation of dolphinius_rex.

That works out to $21.46 USD folks.

I can confirm they do indeed burn 100% fine at 8x DL.
At least with my Samsung burner.

Don't get your hopes TOO high on it being a regular special. However you CAN expect it will be regularily out of stock :wink:

Verbatim had about 10x more backorders then available stock last I checked, and most of it is reserved for distribution, not retail.
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

OK.

I picked up 2 spindles today and 2 more are in the mail.

I can only get them to burn @ 2.4x with my burner.

Ever since I flashed it with the special CD Freaks firmware version for the -R problem, these will only burn at minimal speed. The true 8x DL discs are unaffected.

Oh well, they're still top notch quality for dirt cheap!

And Futureshop sold out with in 4 hours of the sale starting.
I feel fortunate I got 4 spindles as it was. Made in Singapore too!
