Can any of these be overclocked? LG CED-8080B, LTR-48125W???

Guys,

I have an old LG/Goldstar LG CED-8080B I was wondering if anyone has any links to the latest firmware for it, tried searching on LG's site to no avail...

I think I've got firmware 1.06 on it, but I believe that there is a 1.07 and 1.08 available.

If these firmware's are available with it enable me to overclock to a better model/higher burn speed?

If so any tips for overclocking this model?

Also I recently purchased a Lite On LTR-48125W, it can burn at 48x, but Lite On has brought out another 52x newer model (don't know the model number), is it possible to overclock this?

Thanks.

Any advice/links however small would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about LG CED-8080B, but CGE-8480B can be updated to CGE-8481B, I did it and it worked for me.
As far as I know from http://club.cdfreaks.com/ LTR-48125W cannot be overlocked to something else (you think abour 52x24x52x, right?)

that paticular lite-on drive cannot be oced, cause of the mediatek chip inside the ltr-48125w uses version 5, thus you get the 5w part, since its not the 6 chipset you can't oced it, but if you were to have LTR-48126S which is still the 48x12x48x, i believe that can be oced all the way up to the 52x24x52x
