Does this driver play DVD's/BluRays...asking because I can see the movie play and I can hear all the sound effects and music/songs but I can't hear the people talking. I'm new to finding out how these things work so please be gentle with your comments.

Yes, it does play DVD and BD movies. I'm guessing its an issue with your playback software and/or something with your computer's audio. What software are you using to play the movies?

It plays it on Windows Media Player...am I suppose to play it using another software?

Normally you would use something like PowerDVD but as long as the codecs are there, WMP should work.

It sounds to me like you're hearing the audio from the surround channels. How many speakers do you have and do you have it set for stereo or surround?
