Best software and, more importantly, settings for DVD MP3s?

Postby VEFF on Mon Jun 09, 2003 9:08 pm

What do you guys use to burn DVD-R and DVD+R MP3 discs?
I haven't really done much in this area (only two DVD-R MP3 discs so far, both burned a while back), and would appreciate any tips.

Thanks!

I use Nero for my MP3 DVD-Rs. ISO file system w/ Joliet.
I would like to know how to record DVDs where a filename can be longer than 64 characters!

Dunno the answer to that one.

I use EAC/LAME, then use RecordNow to copy the files to DVD.

You do realise that most home DVD players won't recgnise anything but a movie on DVD media? Many Apex will do it now, the Sampo firmware that is modded for many chinese players will do it, a few others.
If you just want to do it for the extra capacity on your computer have at it.
I have a friend that gives me MP3's and I use Nero when I want to transfer them around or re arrange them. I haven't really gotten into burning my own from scratch.

I have a cheap $60 US Norcent/Citizen DVD player that'll read MP3 DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs. Hell, it'll even read data DVDs which contain miscellaneous files, it'll decode pictures, MPG movies, MP2s and MP3s.
