Best low-cost DVD Player for CDR VCDs?

Postby Rebooter on Tue Jul 29, 2003 7:00 am

My current DVD player has failed, and I always had problems with it freezing on CDR burned VCDs anyway. What would be a good player (under $100) that can handle CDR VCDs well?

a good dvd player in my mind for under $100 is the panasonic S35S or S35B (same player dif. color)

I have the S55S (has same dvd reading system yet more options in the progressive deinterlaceing chip like noise reduction)

A very good player both the S35 and S55

The new panasoic player have the best in the area of playback

DVD-RAM
DVD-R/RW
CD-R
CD-RW
DVD+RW

and from what i can tell the S35 has very good and clean VCD playback

I like the JVC XV-N55SL. It plays everything:

CD-R/RW
DVD-R/RW
DVD+R/RW
JPG Image CD (JPG files burned onto CD)
MP3/WMA CD
VCD
SVCD

Amazon has it for only $79.99 now with free shipping:

I love it. The quality is amazing as well.
