Any other cheap media works? BeAll?, Optowrite? I'm mainly looking for DVD-r 4X media and I need to use credit from Meritline in 15days because I purchased HQ media that is pure crap! Thanks in advance.... :o

The only DVD-R media I have ever used on the PX-708A is is Fuji TY 4x DVD-R.

BeALL DOES NOT WORK on the plextor however it does burn nicely at 4x on the Sony which is a first.The HQ media burns nice on my Sony albeit at 2X and the pioneer does a REAL nice burn at 4.3X :)

Ritek = PX-708A writes a coaster.

It do work with Lead data, Taiyo yuden, some princo discs, mitsubishi checmicals DVD-R discs at least.

STAY AWAY from cheap DVD-R discs if ypu have the plex 708A as there is a big chance that they do not work.
