ALCOHOL SOFTWARE LINK

FIX Fixed minor bugs.
FIX Fixed wrong recording speed setting problem with some DVD writers.
NEW Supported double layer DVD+R and dual layer DVD-R media.
NEW Added showing the name of manufacturer of DVD recordable media.
NEW Added DVD+R/+RW setting book-type as DVD-ROM. (not all drives support this at this time)
NEW Added DPM for DVD media.
NEW Added RMPS for DVD writing.
NEW Added Support for more writers.
NEW Improved Reading and writing engines within the software.
NEW Added support for 16X writers and DVD media.
FIX Updated online activation

I hate the Alcohol update feature: you have to uninstall your current version-reboot. Install new version-reboot. Then run it and re-enter your serial # then online activate it. I was the better part of 10 minutes doing the upgrade. Thankfully, they don't upgrade that often, maybe 2x a year.

I wish it was more like Nero's upgrade-over top of the current version.

Yes. You must use the online activation.

I'm sure it's a matter of time before someone to make a 'work-around' though.

But I bought my licence nearly a year ago...so the upgrade went smoothly.
