LG 4120B unable to burn 8x dvds

Hi everyone.. i have been having a problem burning 8x dvds. i am using nero7, during simulation its always succesful, but when it comes to writing. it stops immediately and say something like lead write error (forgot the exact msg). btw its succesful if i used 4x speed

i have an lg4120b with a102 firmware.. is the problem related to firmware? would an update fix it?? thanks

i am using memorex dvd-r 8x.. nero 7. i have tried other media with 8x unfortunately its still not successful.

1)Yeah, try updating FW.

2)Try some Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden media.

do you have Nero 6?
if so, did you try it?
i doubt that's the problem, but Nero 7 is buggy. i would also try and see if using another software helps.

i did try nero 6 once. as far as i can remember.. its still not successfull.. ;(

anyway, i will try updating my FW.
