LG 4081B 8X Burner

Hi

Just got this burner for Xmas but I am a little worried about media compatibility and also the bad reviews the previous model ( 4080 ) recieved.
Does anyone know if the short commings have been fixed for this new burner from LG? Specificly the media problems?
I am thinking of returning it for a Pioneer A06 which burns any media you throw at it.

I haven't seen any bad reviews of the 4080.. or any reviews at all for that matter. do you mean the 4040?

Sorry Ian I did mean the 4040. And the review was at CDFreaks.
