all attemt to burn a cd-r with dye type 5 resulted in coasters at the very beginning.
Error message with Nero CD Speed Overburning test = Write Error at 00:08:33 -( code 030C00 ) - all the time
All Attemt to burn CD-r with Dye Type 6 resulted in coasters at 42-43 Minute - They work fine if I burn them for less then 40 Minute or 350 MB data.
I used same cd-r last year with Win98SE 128MB Sdram - used 99% all the time - and i can burn for 79.43 all the time. and the nero will say it prevented from 0 - 54 buffer underrun. but i still have allot of coasters collection with these conf then.
Now i have 100% coasters if i try to burn
and i just bought 500 Disc
Thinking to buy new Asus CRW-5224A or CenDyne Lightning V with LTR-52246S from Lite-On
Is this the compatibility problem with WInXP ? Samsung SW-224B not good for Dye Type 5 or is there something else
I also have promise ata 100 which i connect sony dvd rom and another WD80GB HDD
all uses 1 drive / 80 pin cable
DMA Enabled
DMA 5 for Primary master
Multi-Word Dma 2 for SW-224B
Sony and WD are rarely used.
MB = Asus A7V-E - via chipset
