Advanced Media announced today that its RIDATA USB Drive with microSD slot is now available in 8GB capacity. Using the built in microSD slot, users can plug in a microSD or microSDHC card and download their data directly to the drive. The drive also features partition and security functions to create a private partition with password protection.
Advanced Media, Inc., manufacturer and marketer of the popular RIDATA brand of recordable CD and DVD media, electronic storage products, and digital media accessories, is pleased to announce its RIDATA USB Drive with Micro SD slot is now available in 8GB capacity. The drive allows users to securely store and transfer data from a cell phone or other MicroSD or MicroSDHC enabled device.
Harvey Liu, Advanced Media president commented, "Cell phones, PDA's and other small devices are now using MicroSD or MicroSDHC cards for additional storage. Now users can easily download the content saved on their mobile device to our USB stick."
A key concern with any flash storage device is security. For privacy and protection, the USB Drive features advanced partition and security functions that make it possible for users to create password-protected sectors for the storage of personal or highly confidential material. A tie-style LED indicator shows usage status.
Offering true plug-and-play convenience, no external power or battery is needed, as the USB port on any compatible desktop or laptop computer powers the USB Drive. A power-saving mode reduces power consumption. RIDATA products are compliant with USB 2.0 with a full-speed transfer rate of up to 480Mbps. The drive is also backward compatible with USB 1.1.
The USB Drive is compatible with the following operating systems: Windows(R) 98SE/ME/2000/XP, Linux(tm) Kernel 2.4 or later and Mac(tm) OS8.6 or later. Users for Windows(r) 98/98SE may download required drivers from www.ritekusa.com. All are EMC compliant meeting CE, FCC, VCCI, C-TICK, and BSMI regulations.
The RIDATA USB Drives are now available at many retail outlets in up to 8GB capacities. The drives are available in several fun colors, weigh less than 10 ounces and come with a two-year warranty. As with all RIDATA products, they are competitively street priced.
